Closing knowledge gaps and reducing uncertainties to support the EU’s green industrial transition

The dual transition towards a circular and carbon-neutral economy presents complex challenges, particularly for energy-intensive sectors, creating uncertainties that affect investment decisions. To address these challenges, the EU-funded Horizon Europe projects, TRANSIENCE and AMIGDALA, are developing new modelling capacities to support industry and policymakers. The two projects will jointly organise a workshop, bringing together stakeholders from policy, industry, research, and civil society. The workshop aims to identify key transition challenges, explore realistic solutions, and advance the EU industry’s transition through improved modelling. By focusing on priority topics, the projects will ensure that their scientific support is tailored to real-world decision-makers, while addressing the need for clear roadmaps and enabling environments for the transition.
