The future of the Basque industry

The first TRANSIENCE workshop on the future of the Basque industry, one of the project’s four industrial cluster case studies, took place on May 28, 2024, in Bizkaia, Spain, to kick-off active stakeholder engagement. 

After familiarising with TRANSIENCE key objectives and the workshop’s methodology - a constructive brainstorming tool called the “Three Horizons” dialogue framework - a core group of regional stakeholders (10 people) was asked by our TECNALIA partners to debate on the present and the future of the Basque industry in terms of industrial decarbonization, circularity and overall sustainability. Focus was drawn into the prospective possibilities of the use and exploitation of TRANSIENCE open, integrated modular framework (MIC3) within the Basque industrial context, looking for sectoral granularity and technology adequacy, also paving the floor for more concentrated and specific discussions in the next workshop.
