TRANSIENCE at the ERA Action 16 Workshop in Brussels

On 28 November 2025, our CEPS colleague Edoardo Righetti showcased the project’s latest developments at the ERA Action 16 Workshop, organised by DG RTD at the European Commission premises in Brussels. The event brought together policymakers, industry experts, and representatives from EU-funded initiatives to exchange insights on strengthening coordination within the European Research Area.

During his presentation, Edoardo shared interim results from the project’s ongoing modelling development and case study analyses, offering early insights into circularity measures and material flows.

Drawing on insights from TRANSIENCE as well as its sister project AMIGDALA, the workshop’s panel on R&I for Industrial Transformation and Competitive Sustainability identified benchmarks and good practices for key innovative technologies supporting decarbonisation and resource efficiency at national and regional levels. Both project presentations outlined how the modelling frameworks currently under development may, support application across other industrial sectors and inform the evidence base underpinning EU climate and industrial strategies.

These activities were subsequently presented at the 31st meeting of the ERA Forum, held on 10 December in Brussels, together with industry representatives.
